Chewie is Lula’s dog who is a chow chow. Chewie and Lula have a very special bond that began when Lula was born and Chewie would lie down in front of her crib and growl at anyone who came near. When Lula began speaking she would call him a lion because his fur looked like a lion’s mane. Since then, he’s been her constant partner and protector. He wears a special collar with “PFZ” (Princess Free Zone) charm. The charm makes a high-pitched sound whenever Lula is in trouble warning him that he needs to go to her. Chewie is also a super hero dog who helps animals when they’re in distress or in danger.  He has a whole network of animal friends from when he lived on the streets who let him know when there is trouble.
