Atlanta, GA, June 8, 2011: Princess Free Zone, Inc., a socially-conscious brand for young girls age 4 -12 that provides an alternative to pink, princess, and lace, has launched its first line of fun and unique t-shirts. The designs include various motifs that emphasize things like building skills, science and sports that are currently lacking in standard department stores and retail outlets.
Princess Free Zone fills a void in the children’s market specifically for girls who prefer something other than princess, as well as for parents and others who desire greater variety for children. With 26,000 princess-themed items on the market, Princess Free Zone intends to be a welcome reprieve by recognizing that not all girls are the same. The 100% certified organic cotton tees are priced at $24.50 with a portion of sales going to the Pacer Organization’s National Bullying Prevention Center.
Princess Free Zone’s underlying message is about embracing difference and empowering girls by offering greater variety: "The market is changing. There is more to a little girl than tiaras and tutus." said Michele Yulo, President and Founder of Princess Free Zone which has the tagline, “Come as you are.”
"Princess Free Zone recognizes that girls are just as good at building, science and math as boys. And with the current push for STEM (Science, Technology, Education, Math) education, PFZ creates an opportunity for girls to be exposed to these concepts at a young age." Yulo said.
Yulo anticipates more t-shirt designs and additional product including a line of clothing and accessories being rolled out over the next six months. All items can be found on the company’s website, www.princessfreezone.com, which also includes a blog and further information.
